Ingredients: 60 ml Gin; 22.5 ml Dry Vermouth; 15 ml Olive Brine

A stirred cocktail featuring Gin, Dry Vermouth, Olive brine.

Ingredients

60 ml Gin
22.5 ml Dry Vermouth
15 ml Olive Brine

Method

Combine Gin, Dry Vermouth and Olive Brine in a mixing glass with ice.
Stir until cold and diluted.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Optional garnish: skewered olives.

Story

Olive brine in a Martini appeared in the early 1900s; Franklin D. Roosevelt was said to mix his with a little brine. It only became a standard order in the 1990s.
