A stirred cocktail featuring Campari, Orange juice, Prosecco.

Garibaldi Spritz cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Campari
  • 3.5 oz Orange Juice
  • 1 Prosecco

Method

  1. Add the Campari and orange juice to an ice-filled highball glass and stir.
  2. Add chilled Prosecco last and stir gently once.
  3. Optional garnish: orange slice.

Story

Campari and orange juice, named for Giuseppe Garibaldi, who united Italy: bitters from the north and oranges from Sicily in one glass. Dante in New York made it famous again by whipping the juice until it was fluffy.
