Going Out West

Ingredients

• 30 ml Rye Whiskey
• 15 ml Mezcal
• 15 ml Amaro Averna
• 1 barspoon Simple Syrup
• 2 dash Angostura Aromatic Bitters

Method

1. Combine Rye Whiskey, Mezcal, Amaro Averna, Simple Syrup and Angostura aromatic bitters in a mixing glass with ice.
2. Stir until cold and diluted.
3. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
4. Optional garnish: orange peel.
5. Optional aromatic finish: squeeze the colored side of an orange peel over the surface to release its oils; discard the peel or use it as garnish.
