Long Island Ice Tea
A built cocktail featuring Vodka, Tequila Blanco, Light Rum.
Ingredients
- 15 ml Vodka
- 15 ml Tequila Blanco
- 15 ml White Rum
- 15 ml Gin
- 15 ml Cointreau
- 30 ml Lemon Juice
- 20 ml Simple Syrup
- 1 Cola
Method
- Fill a highball glass with fresh ice.
- Add Vodka, Tequila Blanco, White Rum, Gin, Cointreau, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, Cola.
- Stir gently to combine.
- Optional garnish: lemon Slice.
Story
Robert 'Rosebud' Butt says he invented it for a contest at the Oak Beach Inn on Long Island in 1972. A Prohibition-era claim from a Tennessee community called Long Island is also made. Either way, it contains no tea.
