Michelada

A built cocktail featuring Beer, Lime juice, Tabasco.

Michelada cocktail

Ingredients

  • 500 ml Beer
  • 15 ml Lime Juice
  • 1 dash Tabasco
  • 1 dash Soy sauce
  • 1 dash Worcestershire Sauce

Method

  1. Optional rim: moisten the glass rim with lime and coat it with salt or chili-lime seasoning before adding ice.
  2. Fill a highball glass with fresh ice.
  3. Add Lime Juice, Tabasco, Soy sauce, Worcestershire Sauce.
  4. Add Beer last and stir gently to combine.
  5. Optional garnish: lime wedge.

Story

Mexican beer with lime, salt and sauces; the name is usually read as 'mi chela helada', my cold beer. Every region and every bar has its own version.
