Pina Colada
Creamy tropical blended classic.
Ingredients
- 2 oz White Rum
- 3 oz Pineapple Juice
- 1.5 oz Cream of Coconut
- 1 piece Pineapple Wedge
Method
- Blend the rum, pineapple juice, and coconut cream with ice until smooth.
- Pour into a hurricane glass.
- Garnish with pineapple wedge.
Story
Puerto Rico's national drink since 1978. Ramón 'Monchito' Marrero of the Caribe Hilton in San Juan is the most widely credited creator, in 1954, after Coco López cream of coconut made it practical to blend. The name simply means 'strained pineapple'.
