Remember the Maine

Ingredients

• 60 ml Rye Whiskey
• 22.5 ml Sweet Vermouth
• 2 barspoon Cherry Heering
• 1 dash Absinthe

Method

1. Swirl a small splash of absinthe around a chilled Nick & Nora glass and discard the excess. If using the measured absinthe for this rinse, reserve it from the mixing glass.
2. Combine Rye Whiskey, Sweet Vermouth, Cherry heering and Absinthe in a mixing glass with ice.
3. Stir until cold and diluted.
4. Strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass.
5. Optional garnish: brandied cherry (preferably Luxardo).
