Rob Roy No. 3
A stirred cocktail featuring Scotch whiskey, Dry Vermouth, Vermouth Bianco.
Ingredients
- 60 ml Scotch Whisky
- 15 ml Dry Vermouth
- 15 ml Vermouth Bianco
Method
- Combine Scotch Whisky, Dry Vermouth and Vermouth Bianco in a mixing glass with ice.
- Stir until cold and diluted.
- Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
- Optional garnish: orange peel.
Story
The Rob Roy was created at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York in 1894 to mark the premiere of an operetta about the Scottish folk hero, hence the Scotch in what is otherwise a Manhattan.
