Sidecar
Cognac sour with orange liqueur.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Cognac
- 0.75 oz Triple Sec
- 0.75 oz Lemon Juice
- 1 piece Lemon Twist
Method
- Shake the cognac, triple sec, and lemon juice with ice.
- Double strain into a coupe.
- Garnish with lemon twist.
Story
It surfaced around the end of the First World War, claimed by both the Ritz in Paris and Buck's Club in London, and named, the story goes, for an army captain who arrived by motorcycle sidecar. The sugared rim came later.
