Vesper
A shaken cocktail featuring Gin, Vodka, Lillet Blanc.
Ingredients
- 45 ml Gin
- 15 ml Vodka
- 7.5 ml Lillet Blanc
Method
- Add Gin, Vodka and Lillet Blanc to a shaker.
- Add ice and shake until cold.
- Strain into a cocktail glass over fresh ice.
- Optional garnish: lemon zest.
Story
Invented by Ian Fleming for Casino Royale (1953), where Bond specifies three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka and half of Kina Lillet, shaken, and names it after Vesper Lynd. Kina Lillet no longer exists, so modern versions use Lillet Blanc with a dash of bitters.
