Whisky Highball

A built cocktail featuring Whiskey, Club soda.

Whisky Highball cocktail

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Whiskey
  • 120 Club soda
  • 15 ml Lemon Juice

Method

  1. Fill a highball glass with fresh ice.
  2. Add Whiskey, Lemon Juice (if using).
  3. Add Club soda last and stir gently to combine.
  4. Optional garnish: lemon wedge.

Story

Japan's national cocktail in all but name. Suntory revived it in the 2000s with heavily iced, precisely stirred highballs in every izakaya, and the meticulous Japanese version has since spread to bars everywhere.
