Ingredients: 45 ml Gin; 30 ml Triple Sec; 22.5 ml Lemon Juice; 7.5 ml Simple Syrup

A shaken cocktail featuring Gin, Triple Sec, Lemon juice.

Ingredients

45 ml Gin
30 ml Triple Sec
22.5 ml Lemon Juice
7.5 ml Simple Syrup

Method

Add Gin, Triple Sec, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup (if using) to a shaker.
Add ice and shake until cold.
Strain into a chilled coupe.

Story

Harry MacElhone first made it in 1919 with crème de menthe, then rewrote it in 1929 with gin, Cointreau and lemon, which is the version the Savoy's Harry Craddock made famous.
